The National Campaign for the Arts ensures the arts are on local and national government agendas and recognised as a vital part of contemporary Irish life.
September 17:
NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION
On Friday 17 September 2010, arts workers and artists in every constituency around the country will meet their local TDs. We’re delighted that includes those based in Offaly meeting with An Taoiseach Brian Cowen. Each of them will convey the demands of the National Campaign for the Arts, as well as raising additional local arts issues. NCFA members will also present a series of events around the country. These are to highlight, to the government and the general public, the important role the arts play in the nation’s economic and social recovery.
