From all the great submitted proposals for the Marsh’s Library call, we have selected a project by German photographer Jens Sundheim entitled ‘Of Ants and Star Polyhedrons’. His project depicts the Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany; a complex built in the 1960s that was once praised as “the university of the future”, before it was considered a horrific architectural failure.
Sundheim’s work has been exhibited at festivals and venues worldwide, including The New York Public Library, Rencontres d’Arles Photographie Festival, Triennale der Photographie Hamburg, Fotomuseum Antwerp, Tokyo Museum of Photography, NCCA Moscow and apexart New York.
His work really suited the call, and it is in itself a great project for our audience to discover. Don’t miss Sundheim’s work at the Marsh’s Library on show 1-31 May!
