Vacancy: Production Staff for PhotoIreland’s International Centre for the Image
PhotoIreland is seeking individuals to join the production team dedicated to installing the opening exhibition of the International Centre for the Image.
This is a two week position for the following dates:
- 12-16th May 2025
- 26-30th May 2025
Candidates will be required to work for the full week. There are limited positions available for each of the two stages, and while there is a preference to work with the same team both weeks, we are open to providing employment to those committing to either or both of the weeks listed above.
Location
The work will take place at PhotoIreland’s new venue, the International Centre for the Image in North Docklands, Dublin 1.
Basic Details
- This is a fixed-term contract for one or two weeks.
- Each shift is 8 hours, including a 1 hour lunch break
- Deadline for applications is 6pm 18th April 2025.
- Interviews will be held the week of the 21st April.
- The position will start on 12th May.
- Fixed day rate is €175 (incl. VAT)
- The project fee is paid at the end of each week, via EFT, in receipt of invoice.
Main Duties
- The candidates sought for this position are expected to be reliable and experienced technicians or stagehands, capable of working on their own initiative as well as collaboratively with the team.
- The candidates are expected to have excellent timekeeping skills and ability to prioritise and organise tasks.
- The work involved in the production and installation of exhibitions ranges from moving materials to assisting in building structures, hanging and installing art works and AV equipment, clearing spaces, and other general manual tasks.
- The work will take place over two stages:
- Pre-build of exhibition materials 12-16th May 2025
- Installation 26-30th May 2025
