TLP Editions Artists selected 2024

The artists selected in the 2024 call for proposals are Alan Phelan, Alex Sinclair, Anouk Burke, Aoife Herrity, Billy Kenrick, Caitriona Dunnett, Clodagh O’Leary, Debbie Castro, Dee Byrne, Emi OConnell, Evanna Devine, Finbar Flanagan, Frankie Malone, Ishmael Claxton, James Kelly, John Foley, Kate Nolan, Kevin Griffin, Mary Furlong, Michael Croghan, Myles Shelly, Neil J. Smyth, Philip Arneill, Ryan Allen, Sarah Navan, Simon Bates, Ste Murray, and Suella Holland. We will work throughout the coming year with the artists to produce these publications.

Comprising already 66 publications, the TLP Editions series provides a growing collection of accessible and inexpensive publications featuring a broad variety of contemporary photographic practices. Running since 2017, PhotoIreland continues the publishing project in 2024 and 2025 to complete a second box with the next publications. This collection is a great addition to public and university libraries, as much as public and private collections, and they help us promote artists within and outside Ireland.

We take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to send their proposals for this call. We were very pleased to receive a large and varied number of proposals, and to discover some new practices.

For those that are not familiar with the project, TLP Editions is an ongoing collection, produced and designed by PhotoIreland, that presents work by contemporary artists in the form of uncomplicated publications. These are available through The Library Project in-store and online. All and any funds generated by the project go to producing more copies of the publications, ensuring we can keep promoting the artists and practices represented. These editions are regularly showcased and donated to international events and festivals, such as the Icelandic Photography Festival recently. In addition, TLP Editions also grace some important shelves and collections, including that of the Hasselblad Foundation Library and the Martin Parr Foundation.

You can find a list of all the TLP editions here.
