PhotoIreland’s Library Project opens its doors for the first time, coinciding with Culture Night.
On Friday 21st September, during Culture Night 2012, PhotoIreland will open for the first time the doors of its new gallery space, located in SteamBox (School St, Dublin 8). Dedicated to ‘The Library Project’, the space has been conceived as a public resource library, reading room and research centre for everyone interested in Photography and Photobooks.
Unique for its scope in Ireland, ‘The Library Project’ is PhotoIreland’s on-going collection of publications, including already over 700 books, magazines and zines, from over 150 national and international publishers, all around Photography and Image Culture. As a curated selection of publications, it offers a comprehensive view on contemporary Photography and publishing trends worldwide.
Doors will open at 5pm 21st September. At 7pm the educational programme for 2012-2013 will be presented.
You can RSVP via the event’s Facebook page.
