PhotoIreland announces Critical Beans, an annual get-together organised in collaboration with FOMU Antwerp where visitors enjoy strong coffee and urgent conversations around art criticism. The session will take place at the Centre Culturel Irlandais (CCI) as part of the Paris Photo events, at 11am on Friday 10 November. Invited guests drive the focus of the morning session in rapid fire propositions that are opened to the audience. Special guests Natasha Christia, curator of the current exhibition at the CCI and collaborator of Trigger and OVER Journal, and Lucy Soutter and Duncan Wooldridge, who together are responsible for the forthcoming Routledge title ‘Global Photographies’. This is a free event open to everyone, no need to book, kindly supported by the Centre Culturel Irlandais and its staff.

The fifth issue of Trigger Magazine, themed ENERGY, launches in FOMU Antwerp. Each issue sees an invited co-editor with this latest issue co-edited by FUTURES members: PhotoIreland (IE), Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center (HU), FOTODOK (NL), and FOMU (BE). Pre-orders now open! The launch takes place during the 2-day FUTURES Meet-Up Event taking place 13-14th November at FOMU. The magazine will be officially launched with a panel talk featuring artists Sheng Wen Lo, Tanja Engelberts, and Sebastian Koudijzer, moderated by Mariama Attah (Deutsche Boerse), followed by closing drinks.

FUTURES Photography and FOMU are programming an exclusive, two-day visitors programme of lectures, panel discussions, and other activities related to photography, as part of the annual FUTURES Meet Up. During the Meet-up, attendees get to discover FUTURES talents, international curators (including Luce Lebart, Damarice Amao and Amanda Maddox) and other artists. It is the ideal chance to exchange ideas and network.

HALFTONE Print Fair 2023 launched last weekend with great visitor numbers and the prints are selling quick! HALFTONE is the ideal place where to get to grips with a diversity of printing techniques while discovering new work for your collection or finding an excellent present. It is a great opportunity to purchase fantastic artworks at enviable prices. With your help, HALFTONE has raised over €70,000 for artists since 2015, supporting and promoting the practice of over 800 participating artists to date, shipping their work internationally, and contributing to public and private collections.
