The Library Project August Highlights

The Library Project August Highlights

As Ireland’s Art Bookshop, we have over 800 Photobook titles from Ireland and beyond, including some coveted collector’s items, contemporary artist books, magazines and zines - local and international, carefully selected and fun titles for young people, as well as a diverse range of books on design, architecture, photo and art texts and theory, and other essentials for creatives.

Check out our highlights and recommendations for August:

- TLP Editions is an ongoing collection, produced and designed by PhotoIreland, that presents work by contemporary Irish artists in the form of uncomplicated publications. These editions are regularly showcased and donated to international events and festivals, and grace some important shelves and collections, including that of the Hasselblad Foundation Library and the Martin Parr Foundation. Check out the latest nine publications in the collection by artists Alex Sinclair, Billy Kenrick, Emi O'Connell, Frankie Malone, Kevin Griffin, Mary Furlong, Philip Arneill, Sarah Navan, and Suella Holland, with many more to come in 2024.
- We're very excited to be featured in this wonderful collection of bookshops throughout Europe and the America's. The Bookshop Guide: Independent Publishing Spots is a must have for lovers of bookshops!
- Fancy Situations is about situations, situations you get in when you fancy someone, featuring paintings by artist Salvatore of Lucan, on occasion of his solo exhibition at the Kevin Kavanagh Gallery.
- Cruising for a Bruising is a camp love letter to the Australian Suburbs by artist Kyle Archie Knight. They delve into family archives and reconnect with past memories of estrangement, finding humour and delight in what was once alienating and suffocating.
- Go Home Polish, a long awaited Photobook by Michal Iwanowski, documenting his 1,900 walk from Wales to Poland in search of a definition of 'home' in post-Brexit Europe.
- Back in stock, the popular Bláthanna draws on Irish countryside textures and seasonal blooms, elegant rooms and magnificent exteriors, showing how creativity with flowers can be inspired and reimagined. By the team behind florists Appassionata Flowers and photographer Yvette Monahan.

All these and much more at The Library Project online and in our shop at 4 Temple Bar Street, Dublin 2.
