Book Launch: Grand Stuff

Join us for the launch of Grand Stuff, the latest publication by graphic designer Niall McCormack, at The Library Project, with invited speaker Dr. Mary Ann Bolger from Typography Ireland. The limited edition book will be available for sale on the night.

Grand Stuff collects over 600 vibrant and colourful examples of Irish label art from the 1890s to the 1990s. Included are labels for minerals, beers, whiskies, hotels, linens, groceries, pharmacies, matches, charities and political causes. The labels, with a couple of exceptions, come from the collection of graphic designer Niall McCormack. An introductory essay explores the social, cultural, political and technological changes that influenced their production and proliferation.

The Kassel Dummy Award is an international photobook competition with a worldwide shortlist exhibition tour. We are welcoming back the 2022 edition of the award to Dublin so you can browse the latest photobooks in progress by international artists at The Library Project.

#JobFairy: Join the PhotoIreland Festival Production team this summer

We are currently looking for individuals to join the production team dedicated to installing an ambitious exhibition at The Printworks, Dublin Castle, as part of PhotoIreland Festival 2022, presented within our public-facing project called the Museum of Contemporary Photography of Ireland. This year, the festival runs between 1st July-28th August with a programme dedicated to the History and Practice of Photography in Ireland.
