Available Now: A Young Person's Guide to the Exhibition

Now Available:
A Young Person's Guide to the Exhibition

You can now pick up A Young Person's Guide to the Exhibition in the main Images Are All We Have exhibition of the festival or check out the online PDF version!

This exhibition guide was made in consultation with a group of young people, who are alumni of The Ark’s Children’s Council. Over the past few months and as part of their Photo Club, they have met up and looked at photographs and discussed what exactly is going on with contemporary photography in Ireland.

Together, they designed this guide to the exhibition so that they can help other young people, and their families, learn a little bit more about photography, maybe this will help them look at the photographs in a new way. They don’t think that hard subjects should just be left for the grown-ups!

The participants in Photo Club were: Thomas, Kaelan, Aoileann, Manus, Rua, Ke Qiao, Zoë, Meabh, Emeraude, and Hugo. This project was facilitated by Róisín White.

PhotoIreland Support Framework

Do you know what PhotoIreland does?

PhotoIreland grows the reputation of Irish artists globally through a 360 degree support system and platform for contemporary photography, activated through a diversity of projects. These include events such as PhotoIreland Festival and Halftone print fair amongst others; resources such as the PhotoIreland Collection, a specialised research library of photobooks, and Ireland’s Art Bookshop, The Library Project; via publishing with projects such as OVER Journal and TLP Editions; professional development support through networking and consultancy opportunities; and empowering early and mid-career photographers via our international partnerships, most relevantly through Creative Europe co-funded platforms such as FUTURES and Parallel.
