Artists Announced for New Irish Works
2022-2025

Out of a large pool of projects submitted to the open call, ten artists have been selected by an international jury for New Irish Works 2022-2025. They are:

• Mark Duffy, On Pugin
• Martin Cregg, The Plot
• Martin Seeds, No Country for Young Men
• Pauline Rowan, Under a Vaulted Sky
• Róisín White, Cross the Child’s Palm with Silver
• Shia Conlon, Sites of Dreaming

New Irish Works is a unique artist support programme run since 2013 by PhotoIreland in 3-year cycles, generating a growing set of professional development opportunities for selected lens-based practitioners throughout the duration of each cycle. The call is open every three years to Irish and Ireland-based artists at any stage of their career.

Call for Volunteers:
PhotoIreland Festival 2022

PhotoIreland Festival will run this year from July to end of August and we are now looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to join the festival team. If you have an interest in contemporary Arts, curation, festivals and event management, and want to learn from behind the scenes of an exciting arts organisation, we want to hear from you!

What you get:

• A learning experience into the running of an international Photography festival.
• Networking opportunities during events and free access to all events.
• One year PhotoIreland Patreon membership on the For Photography Lovers tier.
• A one-hour consultancy post-festival session: this could take the form of a portfolio review or an advice session from us, depending on your current practice and objectives.
• A recommendation letter reflecting on your contribution.

#JobFairy: Join the PhotoIreland Festival Production team this summer

We are currently looking for individuals to join the production team dedicated to installing an ambitious exhibition at The Printworks, Dublin Castle, as part of PhotoIreland Festival 2022, presented within our public-facing project called the Museum of Contemporary Photography of Ireland. This year, the festival runs between 1st July-28th August with a programme dedicated to the History and Practice of Photography in Ireland.
